Pásele Señito, a Latina-owned pop-up shop based in Chicago, was founded by cousins Yolanda and Elvia in 2020, specializing in Mexican artisanally made jewelry, artwork, home decor, and more. Our role involved addressing the incomplete website, conducting research on similar businesses, and leading the redesign efforts to create an intuitive online storefront.
To gain a deeper understanding of the market and user expectations, we got familiarized with Pásele Señito and their product offerings to understand the unique aspects of their business and market positioning. We then conducted a comprehensive competitive analysis of Pásele Señito's competitors to identify industry best practices and potential areas for differentiation.
To better understand the target audience's needs, goals, and pain points, a user persona was crafted. Drawing from demographic data, market research, and user interviews, the persona represented a typical user, enabling us to empathize with their motivations and design with their specific needs in mind.
In the visual design phase, we strategically crafted a vibrant and culturally resonant experience with limited initial branding elements. Drawing inspiration from the existing logo, we curated a dynamic color palette featuring three shades of purple, dark blue, and golden yellow.
Typography choices, such as "Stay Wonderful" for the logo and Futura for the site, were made for their accessibility, boldness, and approachability.
Through careful selection, the imagery showcased on the site aimed to capture the essence of Mexican culture, ensuring a visually engaging and cohesive user experience.
A significant enhancement involved a comprehensive redesign of product photography for Pásele Señito's site. The previous images were busy, unedited, and featured only a couple of angles. We conducted a complete reshoot for over 30 products, capturing a minimum of four angles for each on a white background. The resulting images were meticulously edited to enhance the visual appeal and overall site aesthetics.
